Township Appeal Filing Deadlines

The county does not accept late filings.

Sign up for my watch list.

Township assessors publish equalized assessed valuations each year in local newspapers. A minority of property owners receive a written notice of a revised assessment by mail. The deadline to file an assessment appeal is 30 days after publication or the date on the notice. If you file late, you lose your right to challenge your assessment for an entire year. A loophole in the notification requirement means the vast majority of property owners are unaware of the new assessment until it's too late to file. CONTACT ME TODAY. I WILL INCLUDE YOUR PROPERTY ON THE TAXCK WATCHLIST, AND YOU WON'T MISS THE DEADLINE!

Each township publishes its assessments on a predetermined date. Those dates are available by clicking on the following LEARN MORE tab. Publication information is as new dates are determined. Will County publishes all townships on the same day in August.
